Headteacher’s Welcome

A very warm welcome to Grendon Underwood Combined School and Muddy Boots Nursery!

I’m very proud to be Headteacher of this thriving school, which sits in the lovely village of Grendon Underwood in rural Buckinghamshire.   In addition to the village itself, our school catchment area extends to Ludgershall, Woodham, Edgcott and Springhill.  We welcome pre – school children aged 2 upwards to our well equipped and vibrant nursery, Muddy Boots, after which children join “big school” in the form of Reception class.  Children leaving us after Year 6 carry on their education at Waddesdon School as well as Buckingham and grammar schools in Aylesbury.   As a community school, we welcome  families of all faiths and none, providing a fun, challenging and diverse curriculum for every age group.

Please explore the website and find out more about us. We have a wonderful, passionate staff and governor team, supportive parents and an active community, as well as delightful children!

Finding a school for your child is a huge decision and so do get in touch with Mrs Mitchell or Mrs Jury in our school office, they’d be very pleased to organise a visit or conversation for you.  We look forward to meeting you and your family.

Warm wishes

Beth McLaren

Headteacher

The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection. Typically, pupils behave well, enjoy learning and make good progress. The school is a happy, caring place. Pupils look out for one another and know to treat others with respect, regardless of background or other difference.” (Ofsted Report 2018)
