Topic

Homework

Children should read aloud to a parent or carer, who can then sign their reading records, at least 5 times a week. Children cannot sign the reading records themselves. We would suggest hearing your children read a short section of their book each day, before letting them continue reading independently. Regular reading will help develop their fluency and comprehension skills. We hear children read aloud regularly in class as well, either through whole class guided reading or on a 1:1 basis.

Children should also practice their times tables for a minimum of 5 minutes a day, 5 days a week. At least once a week this should be done on TTRS; they all have access to Times Tables Rockstars which is a great resource.

PE

Year 3 will have their PE lesson on Wednesdays and Thursdays. They will need to come to school in their PE kit on those days.

Year 3’s Big 6

Forest School
